Maharashtra State Skills University is a Skills University governed by the Maharashtra State Skills University Act, 2021 has been established in the State of Maharashtra to provide integrated, holistic skill training to the Youth of the State of Maharashtra and to make them employable through nationally, internationally recognized skill-based higher education experiential courses

Purpose of the University

To promote delivery of high quality skill education, training through programmes & provide counseling, on-job training, and placements in an integrated manner with industry partnerships.
To promote creation of startups through innovation.

To make this a seat of learning that builds desirable skills required to make students employable, develop entrepreneurial skills in the aspirant and make this a lighthouse of knowledge on skill and entrepreneurial excellence through creation of a futuristic knowledge base.

About HITAM

At HITAM, students have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including well-equipped labs, libraries, and workshops, as well as a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs. The college also provides a range of support services to students, including career guidance, counseling and placement assistance.

HITAM is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college offers undergraduate programs in various disciplines of engineering, including Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. HITAM is accredited with NAAC A+ and NBA.

In addition to providing quality education, HITAM also emphasizes the importance of research and innovation. The college has established research centers in areas such as Robotics, IoT, AI/ML and Multidisciplinary Engineering. HITAM encourages students and faculty members to pursue research projects and publish papers in leading academic journals.

HITAM is also committed to promoting internationalization, with collaborations and partnerships with leading universities and research institutions around the world. These partnerships provide opportunities for student and faculty immersions, joint research projects, and international conferences and workshops.

Some distinctive features and achievements of HITAM:

1. HITAM Innovation and Incubation Center, which promotes entrepreneurship, created 6 successful startups in 2 years. These startups won many accolades and grants from the Government of India.

2. HITAM has both NCC and NSS on campus.

3. HITAM is the first college in the state of Telangana to become a Grand Challenges Scholar Program (GCSP) member and 16 students are certified by National Academy of Education, USA.

4. HITAM has a structured career design program for all students, starting from their first year itself, and helps them in realizing their dreams in their choice of career - placements, entrepreneurship, higher education, defence services, government sector, etc.

5. There is a Student Self Governance (SSG) body at HITAM, which helps build student leadership. They act as the bridge between the student community and the leadership.
6. HITAM Toastmasters Club has been one of the best performing college clubs for several years, with over 100 successful meetings conducted so far.

7. HITAM has a beautiful green campus with an IGBC certified green building, which is both picturesque and inspires learning.

8. There are 22 affinity clubs where the students can pursue their passion.

9. Google developer student club.

17. Students of HITAM went for a 6 months research internship at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

18. Campus drives by companies like Goldman Sachs. Students of HITAM got selected for internships at Goldman Sachs with a stipend of Rs. 1 Lakh per month.
